Understanding advanced lead search

Property Provinces: Type in one or more of the provinces where the prospect's property is located.

- The provinces are to be typed in as the two letter abbreviations for the province, and each province must be divided by a comma.

  • Example 1: ON - The search will only cover the province of Ontario.
  • Example 2: ON, AB - The search will cover the two provinces of Ontario and Alberta.

If the property province field is left blank, the search will cover all provinces.

Cities: Type in one or more of the cities where the prospect resides.

The cities must be separated by a comma. Spaces in between the city and comma are optional.

  • Example 1: Edmonton - The search will cover only one city - Edmonton.
  • Example 2: Halifax, Toronto - the search will cover these two cities only.

If the city field is left empty, the search will cover all cities within the province specified.

Zip Codes: Write in one or more zip codes where the prospect resides.

The zip code must be six digits and separated by a comma.

  • Example 1: 12345 - The search will cover only the zip code 12345.
  • Example 2: 12345, 23456, 98765 - The search will cover the three zip codes only.

If the zip code field is left empty, the search will cover all zip codes within the state specified.

Credit Scores: Check one or more of the credit scores the prospect must have for your search.

If no scores are selected, the system will cover all credit scores.

Search by Keyword: Type in the keyword or phrase you want to search for in the comment section of the lead.

The key words or phrases should be divided by a comma.

Also, choose how to search key words and phrases. You can choose to search "all of the key words and phrases," or "any of the key words and phrases."

If you have typed in only one or fewer terms or phrases to be searched, this field will be ignored.

  • Example 1: Chapter 13 - the search will cover all of the leads with the phrase "chapter 13" in the comment section of the lead.
  • Example 2: Chapter 13, help

- If the search method is "search all the phrases above," the search will cover the leads with both phrases. "Chapter 13" and "help."

So the comment section of the leads will look something like this: "I filed for chapter 13 three years ago and need money, please help."

- If the search method is "search any of the phrases above," the search will cover the leads with only "chapter 13" or "help with..."

If the search by key word is left empty, this field will be ignored and the search will cover all of the prospect comments.

Please note: All of the search fields are case sensitive.

Some of your search criteria may deliver nothing. In this case, try to shorten your key phrase or check to see if you have too much criteria set. For example: If you search leads with prospects' states as "New York," and you have the city as "Los Angeles," the search will result in nothing because the city of Los Angeles is not in the state of New York.
